Marisa VerSteegh, a senior at Xavier Charter School, is excited to be teaching at Magic Valley School of Performing Arts, Dance 150, for the second year in a row. She is an active dancer with MVSPA and Xavier Charter School. She had been on the Ballroom Company at Xavier for three years and is ecstatic to be able to dance on their new team this year that will include many different genres. Marisa has danced for about seven years; her styles include: ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, tumbling, and ballroom. Her favorite styles are ballet, lyrical, and ballroom. Marisa had been involved with MVSPA for seven years, she had taken dance, voice, and theatre throughout this time period. Marisa aspires to one day be on Broadway and will be getting her degree in Musical Theatre Performance when she goes to college. She had already been accepted into a performing arts school, American Musical and Dramatic Academy, in New York City! A recent fun fact she has discovered about herself is she can tread water for at least forty minutes; this is something she is extremely proud of.
